About The Gospel Jamboree

Back to The Gospel Jamboree

Corinne Lillo formed the Gospel Jamboree in 1998. The core members of the group were Corinne Lillo – vocals & acoustic guitar, Glenn Gray – electric guitar and Corinne’s dad Vic Lillo Sr. on piano/keyboards and her mom Doreen Lillo (backup keyboards/moral support). In 2000, Corinne’s brother Vic and his wife Kim started singing with the Gospel Jamboree. Corinne’s sister Danielle (Lillo) Medley also sang and recorded with the group. Some of their friends and students from Lillo’s Music played with the group as well including Ray McMillan, Dave Lee, Mark Cristall, Sandy Osadchuk, Sheelagh Roberts and Leah Peever.

The Gospel Jamboree group rehearsed at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church on Friday nights. Pastor Tim Posyluzny and the congregation at the Church were very encouraging and supportive. The group played for Sunday evening services and later played on rotation for Sunday morning services. The Gospel Jamboree group was also involved with outreach playing at the Rock (St. Peter’s Lutheran Church), the Gospel Stage during Klondike Days as well as at other churches and special events. The group played traditional, gospel and several original songs written by Corinne Lillo and songs written by Ray McMillan. The Gospel Jamboree was active from 1998 – 2004.
